Soapstone / Talc
Soapstone/Talc is a versatile mineral, widely used in
various industrial applications. The nature of deposit,
formation of talc is the index of its chemical purity,
particle shape and other physical features. Talc possesses
some unique and unusual properties, which makes it ideal
for its multiple uses. No other mineral other than talc
possesses such combination of intrinsic properties.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
In its ground form, talc / steatite has a large variety
of industrial applications. It is used in many manufacturing

· Increases the retention of fillers and opacity
· Controls pitch globules
» Paint Industry
· Reinforces the paint films by preventing sagging
· Prevents the settling of solids to the bottom of the
container
· Contributes minimum abrasion to the process & applicator

· Used in a number of applications including colored make-up,
dermopadediatric preparation & talcum powder
» Textile Industry
· Used both as 'loading and bleaching material such as
cotton sacks, cordage, rope and string
» Ceramic Industry
· Used in whiteware bodies, electrical porcelain, high
frequency insulators, tiles and kiln furniture
» Rubber Industry
· Used as a filler
· Provides insulation required in the cable industry
· Acts as a dusting and anti blocking agent
» Plastic Industry
· Used as a filler
· Improves chemical & heat resistance, impact, strength
and dimensional stability
Our grades of Soapstone powder (Talc) is available from
300 mesh to 700 mesh BSS Standard. The brightness in Talc
is available from 70% to 94%.
